We have been going there for almost 6 years when it was a smaller practice. Even though I moved from Sugar land I continued going to Sugar Land/Riuchmond offices because I liked Dr. Knobel. Now 2 kids and several visits later, going there seems like they are become too big/too commercial to care enough. I am switching to another practice locally - who gave me excellent service last week..\r
\r
Dr. Knobel is nice but to get a urgent appointment or a chance to talk to here is never an option. Very busy office. \r
Dr. Smith - cannot diagnose. Took my child for a cough and it sounded like wheezing and NOT croup..I have had my kids get croup in the past and I know how it sounds.- she called it croup - gave him steroids. It wasn't croup - a few days later took him for same issue to Dr., Knobel and it was not Croup..\r
Another time when Dr. Knobel was out - my 2 yr old was tugging his ear - Smith said nothing...viral... the tugging didnt go.\r
in a week it was time for well child. Took to Knobel - on checking his ears as part of well child - she saw a ear infection...\r
\r
Well I discovered that the doctors office has billed my insurance company twice for the same day - One visit as a well child and one visit for sick. I am not really very sure if this is how it should w\r
\r
Called them and they said it was a well child and since he happened to have a ear infection it is a sick visit as well.. and they clubbed the visit to make it convenient for me. .>Really??\r
I think this is double dipping... WOW..Billing department was not friendly and had an attitude.
