My boyfriend and decided to just stay in and eat at Junipers in the Holiday Inn in Issaquah while in town for a graduation. We had a hectic day and just didn't have the energy to go out although we wanted some really good food. Well, we got it... and more! We were the only people on this night in the restaurant when we got there so we were a bit worried, but we were so pleasantly surprised. The food was awesome!
I had the special, wild Alaskan salmon with baby shimp and a dill sauce, baked potato and veggies. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was to die for! The potato, was well, a baked potato, but the veggies were terrific! The special came with a soup or salad so I opted for the salmon chowder which was sooooo good! Big chunks of salmon with potatos in a rich but delicate sauce... sounds weird, but it was rich and delicate.
My boyfriend had the Issaquah Two-Step that was a chicken breast with bernaise sauce and a top sirloin with a mushroom sauce. I had a taste of both, I'm a huge bernaise sauce fan but I'll tell you, I don't know what kind of mushroom sauce that was but it was very delicious, I wish I had the recipe!
We're aleady planning to eat there again so if you have the chance, goooooo.... we don't live here, we're from California, but if you live near I suggest you try this little gem!
By the way, the Sauvignon Blanc I had was unbelievable!
