This is a beautiful old hotel although it appears to falling into a little disrepair. The staff is cordial and friendly if young and not particularly refined. Weekend rates are amazingly low, the Beef Tenderloin at the bar was the best $18 dollar steak I've had in years. Downtown El Paso is a ghost town on the weekends, and I mean that in a good way. I'm considering this my secret weekend getaway as it is only a little over three hours from where I live and my wife loves it.
