I recently planned a trip to Fort Rapids and dispite the negative comments decided to try it for myself.
The Front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. They made every effort to explain all of the features of the property.
My kids really enjoyed the waterpark and I found it great for ALL ages. (my children are 5-18).
My room was exactly what I expected based on the description by the reservation person and was clean and neat.
There is ONE elevator that is being replaced and according to the staff that should be completed soon.
They also advised that they are under new management and are attempting to make some changes for the better.
One plus that most other resorts don't offer is the 'Kids eat free' program. Really came in handy for my family. The food was great.
Overall, we had a wonderfull experience and I would highly recommend you try it for yourself.
