Open Imaging of Rockwall was reccomended by my doctor since it was closer to my house and office than my doctor is. My doctor told me that the MRI should be around $500.00. Open Imaging quoted me almost $1000.00 dollars. Luckily, my HSA plan will do a search for local facilities and get quotes. I was quoted from $462.00 to $488.00 by 5 other MRI facilities, one of which was a local hopsital. Needless to say, my doctor was shocked at the prices charged. They offered to do the MRI in their office and only charge me what my insurance will pay. As tight as money is with most families right now, it is hard to pay almost double for the same service. Now I know why they offer paymant plans.
