We drove from an hour away to see someone in the hospital. My wife and I had been talking about getting some japanese food, but we did not want to go to the larger restaurants where they cook in front of you.\r
\r
We saw Tokyo which looked great from the outside and the parking lot was full so we went in. On a Friday night there was no one in the place. The decorations were pictures of their food hanging EVERYWHERE! There were also LARGE mirrors all around and I could see the guy watching us from different angles. \r
\r
They told us the food was ""tempura"" not ""hibachi"" and we ordered anyway. I knew it was over priced, but we thought we would try it. The salad had a sauce that tasted like peanut butter (almost unedible), the miso soup tasted like sweat (was undrinkable), and when the food came it had no taste and the plate was skimpy. \r
\r
No one was in the place, so I went to talk to the manger. All I said was, ""I'm sorry, but we don't like our meals."" He says, ""We said tempura not hibachi."" Long story short, he told me two or three times ""No Complaining."" So, we gave them $30 cash and left the food sitting there after eating literally five bites.\r
\r
It is no wonder they have no customers on a Friday night...
