I have been in this store several times. I am always impressed by the products and presentation BUT I always leave miffed because of passive-aggressive staff. I feel like I am being pushed toward the priciest items. When I don't go for them, the tone of the interactions becomes condescending . I am not opposed to spending money but I want to buy something that meets my needs - not their sales goals. I have also been irked when they request all of my contact info (i.e., address/phone number) upon purchase. Last time, I was made to feel like I was being unreasonable by the woman at the counter when I didn't want to extend my phone number. The other sales associate then chimed in to add her 2 cents, also making it seem as if I were being overly sensitive. Maybe everyone there is defensive because it is hard to stay afloat these days in small business. However, a little (sincere) warmth and graciousness can go a long way in maintaining customer relationships.
