I looked at Subaru Outbacks. The price for a new one is well in the 20s. Even an Outback that is 5 years old was in the low teens which was out of my budget.
After looking around, I purchased an Outback from 6,999. Sure, it has some bumps and scratches, but hey, for that price - who cares?
The vehicle lasted until nearly 300,000 miles. At which points it was given to charity.
These are used cars. I like the fact that no one pressured me. If a little dirty and grim is going to scare you away, then go and pay thousands more at a big dealership.
We bought two cars from Doug and they were exactly what we needed for the price.
