My husband and I were regulars at Texas Roadhouse prior to the fire that destroyed it a couple of years ago and the food and service was great. Since they have rebuilit, we have been there twice.
We fist visited Texas Roadhouse during the first week of their reopening. My husband and I both ordered our meals which included salads. The waitress came to our table with two salads but only placed one in front of me and took the other one to a different table. Then she disappeared until she brought our meals. Although she did appear over by the bar doing a line dance with some others. We decided that maybe the waitress was new to waitressing and decided that we would give Texas Roadhouse some time to work out the bugs before going back.
We decided to give them a second chance just yesterday, 6/18/2011. We were there at 2pm and they had only been open for 3 hours by that time and were not busy. There were several servers sitting outside smoking when we walked up. We had to wait at the hostess stand for a few minutes before anyone came to seat us. The hostess had no personality and she sat us at a dirty table. It looked like someone had taken their entire meal and threw it under our table and there was food stuck to our seats. We moved over one booth so that we weren't sitting in trash / food, it was a little better, but still had to wipe off the seats. We sat there and ate our 4 rolls that the server gave us and looked at the menus. As we were sitting there, I noticed that there was food and trash all over the floor . Keep in mind that they had only been open for 3 hours. We sat there for over 5 minutes and no server ever came to our table. The hostess even walked back by our table and didn't notice that we still had no drinks or anything. We decided to walk out before it was too late. That was the last time that we will ever go to that Texas Roadhouse on Shadeland Ave.
