Worst customer service experience-Carpet delivery delay several days-no call/no-email/no-notice by sales May/June 2011; carpet arrived 6 days late. 1st installer: horrific contractor assigned by Abbey Mount Vernon WA sales: untimely, unprofessional, disinterested, disrespectful, incompetent: failed to start or complete project; left jobsite for several hours twice; left unguarded tack+strips resulting in injury to 2 tenants (no response or concern by Abbey sales) before walking off unfinished job @ 10 p.m. after working noisly/rudely+intermittently 4 hours over 10 hour day. Called Abbey to alert of these problems; Steve/Owner too busy to visit site even after explanation as above and advising of puncture injury to tenant. Did assign very good 2nd installer who had to rehab 1st's work but did complete install with no complaints. Abbey Mt Vernon: No contact from Abbey after phone requests, no itemized billing per customer request, no contact from sales team to explain delays, investigate problematic installer, or complete commitment to visit jobsite to ensure satisfactory install. No apology for inconvenience or injury; had our full payment up front so apparently couldn't care less.
