I recently got married in Tyler, Texas. We had a large wedding with 300+ people and were very pleased with many of our Tyler vendors. However, every interaction we had with Village Bakery was miserable. While tasting cakes, I had not been pleased with the customer service, but I choose to go forward with them because the cake tasted wonderful. It was not worth it. The cake did taste very good and guests enjoyed it, but the frustration my mother and I experienced was unbelievable. The bakery informed us two days before the wedding they would be unable to a cake stand because they couldn't find it. They also failed to provide an additional cake topper that was promised for us to freeze for our first anniversary. Each conversation we had with this vendor was stressful and frustrating. I also had the same experience as another bride at the wedding and discovered we had the WRONG kind of cake.
