DO NOT GO HERE !!!! 5/11/2011

I would not recommend this veterinary office due to hidden fees,, Dr. Daniels poor bedside manner, and the office is very dirty. \r I took two little dogs to be spayed and was quoted $170 to $180 each for my two dogs over the phone. When I arrived the IV fluid so they wouldn't dehydrate was an extra $25.00 per dog (normally with the other offices I called for quotes this was included), I dropped them off at 9:30 a.m. and was told that I could pick them up later that day. \r Around lunch I called and both dogs were in recovery. I picked them up at 5:30 p.m. The total cost of $465.25 (including a senior discount). The cone collar and meds were extra. I was given antibiotics my one dog was allergic to which they neglected to note in her chart. Dr. Daniels got an attitude and said ""ok yes, your Dr. Butcho."" with a sarcastic attitude when I mentioned my prior vet. She charged $20 more for amoxicillin than cephalexin? Then waited forever for the new medication. My dogs were over sedated and couldn't walk or barley stand. They never got up or drank until the next morning, good thing I paid for the extra IV fluid. \r The dogs sutures were sewn with wire with a large incision, much larger than any of my other dogs in the past had gotten. They left the sutures in for 14 days and when I went in to get them removed we were put last and waited for almost an hour. Other people who came in after us were called in before us. Another thing I didn't like was when they anything with your dog they take the dog to the back and have you wait out front or in the room. I don't like this for I can't see what they are doing. Both dogs incisions are poorly sewn and bumpy. \r Two weeks after getting the stitches out I had to come back with my one dog for a noticed when I petted her she had a big bump when I looked at it and it was infected for a stitch with a knot was hanging out. Again, when I went I waited almost an hour it was a Saturday, her assistant called my dog and wanted to take her and I refused I told her I wanted to be present while they removed the stitch they skipped. Finally, I was called back and again Dr. Daniels got an attitude and said she couldn't see anything, then I made her feel it for I could see it and so could my husband (and we both wear glasses)and I wasn't going home until she fixed it. She then brought in a reel with two kinds of thread one being wire thread and the other thread that looked like fishing line. She told me that she does 3 layers of stitching, wire on the outside, then plastic, and catgut. She said, the plastic stitches would dissolve in about 6 months and that's what that was. I told her regardless it couldn't be left hanging out like that for the stitches should be on the inside and it was festering and jabbing the dog and me. Finally, she tried to cut it but couldn't see it to get a hold of the thread. Scary!!! Since she did the surgery and even with glasses can't see it. Her assistant took over and got it on the first try clamped it then gave her the clamp and the Vet pulled the thread and cut it real short. People DONT GO HERE!!! Dr.Butcho is good and in Riverside or in VCA Central Animal Hospital in Upland Ca. \r Also, my dog who had the stitch problem since then has been gagging and throwing up off and on which she never did before. I hope she doesn't have some kind of infection inside I will continue to watch her and see if so take her somewhere else. These dogs are my babies one is 9 months old and the other is 6 months old. They even sleep with my husband and I at night. \r more
