A little history about Sadies. It used to be located in a bowling alley just south of their new restaurant. Back in 1977 they had the best tacos and enchiladas. The taco shells were individually fried.Everything was fresh.Sadies was excellent They were also located in another area prior to the bowling alley.This was genuine New Mexican food, not Mexican. Both are good, but different. I was born and raised in NM and my family goes back many generations. I have seen New Mexican restaurants come and go. Many were very good, but Albuquerque was not a very big city back then. The original owners of Sadies have since sold to someone else. And the food is not what it was in 1977. The salsa is good. A place you might try is Barela's on 2nd street about a block north of Cesar Chavez.. Needless to say Sadies has changed considerably. I won't go back. It is difficult to find genuine New Mexican food.
