I was a member at Xcel for two years. The staff was extremely rude. I canceled my membership, and thought things were fine. However, when I tried to use my last month(which I prepaid in advance), I was turned away at the door by being told that I was not allowed to enter because of ""nonpayment"". So, I quit going. Three weeks after I canceled my membership, I started reciving phone calls that I owed the gym money because of unpaid dues(they were attempting to charge me for months after I canceled my membership). Then came letters from a collection agency every month attempting to collect monthly dues after the membership was canceled, and every month the bill kept getting higher. I have finally had to hire an attroney to get the matter resolved, and Xcel is still refusing to do anything.
