Please see this horrible customer service experience that I received at Jim Ellis Mazda of Atlanta. I made an appointment to bring in my Mazda 3 for service due to a power steering recall. They scheduled me for the repair and quoted a two hour wait time for the repair. Upon my arrival at 10:20am, the same employee re-confirmed the repair and quoted me a two and a half hour wait time. He said that the estimated time was a worst-case scenario and that the car might be ready sooner. Around 11:00am, he came over and talked me into getting new windshield wipers and air filters, with a free car wash. I agreed and continued to wait patiently until 12:15pm when this employee returned to say that my car was being washed and would be ready in 10 minutes. The problem was that my car was not ready in 10 minutes... I waited two more hours until nearly 2pm before the car was finished. No explanation. I am currently out of work and was registered to attend a career fair which I had to miss due to the long wait. I tried to find the employee or a manager but they were at lunch and no one could help me. If they would have told me that the repairs would take nearly four hours, I would have gladly scheduled for another day! I emailed my concerns to a manager & requested a partial refund and got a response a week later--they offered a credit on a future visit. Why would I return to a business that treated me rudely, did not fulfill their obligation, and refused to correct the situation?
