Question: What does $28 get you at the Talleyville Red Lobster? Answer: A lobster tail tough as a tire, and mediocre service.\r

My husband, son and I went to this Red Lobster for my birthday dinner, expecting, since it advertised ""lobster fest"", that we would get some tasty fruits de mer, as promised. My son's shrimp pasta Alfredo was tasty enough, as was his lobster pizza appetizer. My husband's shrimp Caesar salad, however, featured watery sludge at the bottom of the plate, which passed for dressing. The real disappointment of the evening, however, was my rock lobster tail. At $28 I didn't think it was too much to expect something 100% edible. Instead, about 50% was the consistency of a truck tire (though I swear I've never taste-tested this, so I'm just guessing). The potatoes and salad which came with it were good enough. \r

The waitress was kind of inattentive, bringing our dinners out later than other customers who came in after us, but who had a different waitperson. Still, the service wasn't bad though I expected better, or at least friendly.\r

I wouldn't eat here again. When you go to a seafood house which advertises lobster specialties, a certain standard is expected. Well, it was not met...not even close.
