Went to see Dr. Zadeh because a friend referred me for my weight loss. Putting a whole-hearted effort with no results for months would be frustrating for anyone. I decided to request diet/fat burning pills being that my BMI is 34 and considered obese, this seems logical to me. \r
Dr. Zadeh finally entered the room after being there for over an hour. She asks why i'm here..i tell her because i'm trying to lose weight, so on, and so forth. She gets an attitude and says ""so, do you think if any of these diet pills worked there would be obese people walking the streets""? I replied with, I thought that in order to be prescribed these pills, you had to meet a certain criteria. Long story short, she said i should diet and exercise for a year before i should count out seeing results. She also asked me what i wanted? for her to write a prescription for me? I said yes. (her english is very poor) She ends up writing a script for Meridia..probably got the perks from a drug rep, anyhow, Meridia is no longer available, as I find out from the Walmart pharmacy..here it is Tuesday, and no sign of a response from Dr. Zadeh for an alternative to Meridia. Even after several attempts by myself and the pharmacy. I really think this should be against medical regulations, and if not, my insurance and my copay should be refunded. Unbelieveable how some doctors operate. I would talk anyone out of seeing this doctor.
