Previously the food has been good at the Silver Coin Diner, large portions. However, the hostess who seated us, an older woman with salt and pepper hair and glasses was absolutely unnerving. My clients and I wanted a table near the window and she tried to seat us in the middle of the diner where the lighting wasn't very bright. I asked if we could please sit near the window and she threw up her arms and announced loudly that we had altered her seating schedule and if we insisted on sitting there she couldn't guarantee us great service. She ""glared"" at our table several times, shaking her head. We only ordered appetizers and left as she made us feel so uncomfortable. She also yelled at some employees using profanity so loudly that I was embarrassed for my clients so we left. When I paid the check she asked how everything was and I told her just how uncomfortable she made us feel. She apologized then, but it was too little too late. I heard her say something derogatory to our waitress on our way out and she had the nerve to come out in the parking lot to berate me about the tip I left! I was mortified! I will never return to the Silver Coin Diner specifically because of her and her attitude toward me and my clients. Talk about unprofessional!
