I called Steve's plumbing because my kitchen sink was slow draining. I took apart the pipes and there was no blockage so I knew it was in the wall. I told Steve my issue and let him know that I wanted a quote to have someone come out to put a snake in the wall to remove the block. He said he couldn't give me a quote but the only thing he could do was send someone out for $59 diagnostic fee. I agreed and the guy came out, put the snake in the wall and cleared the block in less than 15 minutes. He charged me $400 for the service. I couldn't believe how expensive it was. I felt taken advantage of and manipulated into agreeing to the service because even if I would have said no they would have charged me for the guy to come out. I called some other plumbers the next day and they said the service shouldn't have been more than $150-$200.\r
The tech also tried to sell me a new disposal, pipes, drain cleaner and a Diamond Club monthly fee!! I declined and wasn't about to spend another dime on anything. I called Steve to express my concern and frustration about his high prices and he just kept telling me that that's what they charge and he needs to charge that much to run a business.\r
He wasn't empathetic or didn't even offer to credit even a portion of the $400. \r
His prices are outragous and I will never do business with him again. I will never recommend him either.\r

FYI- You can rent a snake from Home Depot and do it yourself!
