My husband (yes we are legally married) had heart surgery at Kaiser Sunset. After the doctor told me I could see him the woman in admissions (initials YL) refused to let me do so because I had not waited her required two hours. The nurse overseeing him even called and asked for me to come up and see him but YL pretended she could not locate me in order to keep us apart. We have a durable power of attorney for health care, an advance directive and I am his legal spouse. No one can ever make up for the anguish and paid that evil anti-gay bigot caused that day. Thank God he survived. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone who ever has any options.
