So my dad lived here for quite a few years but only because we could not afford to move him. Often times the elevator did not work and to get out from the second floor, if there were a fire you had to walk down a hall way, either direction. Then make a turn and walk down a very long hallway to get out. fortunately, this never occurred but had it, I cannot imagine a lor of Senior Citizens making that walk in a hurry.\r \r Parking was impossible. When he moved in they said he could park in the Fred Meyer parking lot but after a month or so of living there, they began receiving tow notices. They do not have enough parking for all their residents. It appears, the assumption on their part is that seniors will not be driving.\r \r We own a professional cleaning business and my wife is the primary cleaner for this. She went in and cleaned the place out from top to bottom. She cleaned behind the refrigerator, under the sinks, everything and very well. When she left the assistant manager. did a walk through and verified the job my wife had done and that it looked nice but web still should not expect our deposit back. We were told it is the law to have to bring in another cleaner to clean the apartment.\r \r I can tell you the carpet needed to be replaced but it needed to be replaced after 4 years of living there. I can tell you it needed new drip pans. That being said, it does not warrant him not getting his deposit back. When we received the checklist for not getting his deposit returned to us, it said EVERYTHING was dirty and when we questioned it they said it was the law to have someone come in and clean. Well if that is the case, why even bother with the walk through?\r \r I say, if you cannot afford anything else, then go for it but buyer beware. more
