People who are rating this place poorly are completely misinformed or do not understand the purpose behind this AMAZING facility. Yes, these rescue dogs are expensive and are not for everybody. If you cannot afford to pay for a dog, you should not be getting one in the first place. These dogs all have been spayed/neutered, have all the necessary INITIAL shots, and are microchipped. When taking a dog home, you still need to figure in additional vet costs, checkups, follow-up shots/etc. The cost of a rescue dog covers the initial costs, barely, and any additional money goes into helping the thousands of additional rescue dogs that this facility will find homes for in the future. These dogs are all allowed to roam free with one another and are NOT locked in cages with no socialization. The dogs are all friendly and have all the dog and people interaciton they need so they are not scared/nervous/upset when you get them home. Yes, the dogs pee/poop on the floor, but the very large staff they have clean it up within seconds. The dogs are all well cared for and every single dog we saw there seemed to be extremely happy. We just drove 6 hours to get our rescue dog from this facility because we believe in what they do and how they care for the dogs. Lastly, people on here complain about them being rude to you. If you have children, wouldnt you want them to tell you that a specific dog would not be good with kids? If you dont have a fenced in yard or live in a very small house, wouldnt you want them to tell you that the dog you want needs a ton of exercise and probably wouldnt be a good fit for you? Or if you live in an apartment and your landlord has not verified that you can have a dog, is'nt it best for the DOG that you do not take it home and have to return it after your landlord says you cannot have one?? People with poor reviews of this facility are simply upset that they were rejected a dog or were simply upset at the fact that rescue dogs are expensive. If these dogs were free, or less expensive, and if this facility did not do the excellent screening that they do, these dogs would go to the wrong home and be put right back in a shelter when they do not fit into one's lifestyle. Keep up the good work Molly's Rescue!
