I went in to Ashley to get my hair done and had been going there for a year or so. She always did a good job. This last time I went in and said I wanted my hair two shades darker than my natural color (dirty blonde) and highlights on the top. I had bought a groupon for $35 which was good for $100 worth of services. After I purchased the groupon, Ashley's facebook said for first time users only, which the groupon website did not specify anywhere. She said she could use it for 35 off my total purchase which is always $65. So I went in thinking it would cost me 30 total. Ashley didnt just highlight my hair, it looked like the whole top was bleached and she didnt do the hair underneath 2 shades darker, it was almost black. I looked like a racoon. I knew it was a little too dark when I heard her said ""its not even too dark or anything"". Why would you say that if it didnt look too dark? She said it would fade and then charged me $70 (which included the 35 off, so almost double the usual). The more I looked at it after I got home, the more crazy it looked to me. I asked her politely if she could lighten it and she said ""I did exactly what you asked me too sorry you dont like it. There's nothing I can do about it now for a few weeks without damaging your hair."" (which wasnt true cuz I got it fixed 2 days later by someone else who said Ashley didnt know what she was talking about and it isnt damaged). Even if that is exactly what I asked for (which it wasnt) Why wouldnt she warn me before how horrible it would look? and also, why would you talk to a client like that? In customer service if someone isnt satisfied, you fix it. She offered to ""see what she could do"" a week later for 35 more dollars because she was booked. If you mess up someones hair, you fix it asap and you dont charge them. I have spent almost 200 dollars on my hair this week after paying ashley and paying someone to fix the problem. Good luck getting more clients by doing things like this, and good luck keeping them around if you can't have decent customer service skills. Now I have to find someone I actually trust to do my hair. What a disaster.
