I don't understand the negative reviews here. These people apparently do no know much about Bed and Breakfasts. Plus I see the negative reviews were written in 2007 when the B&B just opened. All businesses have growing pains. The times I have stayed there has been a live in maid who cleans every day. The sheets are very clean and there are new bedspreads. The towels are all high quality, plush and clean white. The B&B is well staffed and everyone has been very gracious to me. I have also recommended Cinema Suites to my friends who have stayed and all had very positive experiences. I have stayed at Cinema Suites many times over the years and would not consider staying anywhere else in Los Angeles, especially for the price.
I think you have to keep in consideration the recent reviews, which are all positive and not look at the ones that are 4 years old.
Ms Bennett is the consummate hostess! She makes herself available to her guests, provides for their needs 100% and goes out of her way to allow us to make use of the facilities. I love to stay in room #1. I have my own private rear entrance, lovely patio for al fresco dining or a cocktail in the evening and a beautiful bath. The kitchen is well stocked with a variety of breakfast foods and the wifi Internet service is very reliable and there is full cable television. You can't beat the price. Just try finding any place to stay in Los Angeles for under $100! You will find dumpy hotels in bad parts of town that are not safe.
Cinema Suites is centrally located so tourists can scoot over to Hollywood, are less than 2 miles from Beverly Hills, and just minutes from the beach. If you love shopping, go downtown to Maple Avenue and Santee streets and shop directly from the manufacturers. Ms Bennett knows all the ins and outs of Los Angeles.
As a retired legal professional, I can afford to stay most any place, but when I stay at Cinema Suites, I feel like I am home and being treated like family.
I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many bed and breakfasts where the proprietor was distant and unwelcoming. I actually felt like I was imposing on them. I am always greeted warmly by Ms Bennett and her staff. The furnishings are beautiful and the living room is so relaxing to spend time in.
I can't say enough positive things about this Bed and Breakfast. I wish people would stop calling it a hotel. It is much better than a hotel.
