I was having problems with my water heater....my pilot light would not stay lit. I was already working with another plumbing service who had come out prior to replace the thermocouple. I had contacted the same company to try to fix it again this time around and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the water heater. For a plumbing service, they were not knowledgeable on the type of brand that I had and was not willing to speak to the manufacturer for me. They also lied to me on what year it was built....making it seem that it was older than it really is and it had to be replaced. Their best solution was to just replace the water heater with one they had in stock. This would have cost me a whole new water heater plus labor. They couldn't even tell me the model and year of the heaters they already had so who knows how long it would have lasted! ARRRGGG!!!!
After accessing this sketchy situation, I decided to call AAA Auger . I explained the situation to them over the phone and they came out to have a look. Not only were they super knowledgable on the type of water heater that I have but the last thing they wanted to do was to just put in a new one. They concluded that there were multiple parts that needed to be replaced and quickly contacted the manufacturer themselves to have them ordered right away. Once the parts came them, they were installed and my water heater was working again! Plus, they knew that the parts would be under warranty so in the end I only had to pay for the labor!
