My dog collapsed and could barely breathe. Being Friday after work I thought had no choice but to rush him to this hospital. Collette Levasseur was the vet on duty that evening. She wanted to take x-rays, do blood work, start an IV for fluids and antibiotics, give him some oxygen, etc to find out what was wrong. Levasseur came back and said it was probably pneumonia and my dog needed to stay overnight. I was required to give them a credit card right then with the lowest estimated charge being over $1,900.00! By the next night my dog was in severe respiratory distress and Levasseur would not continue treatment unless I agreed to more charges.
