On 12/2008 I paid fair market value for a car that I purchased from Sid at Auto Merchants Inc. 4008 West Plano Pkwy, Plano, Tx 75093, phone 469-429-4008. I was shown a paper copy of a clean car fax that listed no accidents up through 10/2008, and was told that the car was accident free.
I drove the vehicle from 12/2008 through 3/2011 without any accidents.
On 3/2011 I had the car appraised at CARMAX. They informed me that the front fender had been painted, major structural damage had occurred, the radiator had been welded, and one of the engine mounts was missing. I showed them my copy of the clean car fax. The CARMAX report (ran on 3/2011) showed the auto had been repaired with major structural damage in 11/2008. Consequently my auto's value was greatly diminished.
