In response to ""Just a change of Charge"" Florida state statutes, a change of charge or money, is considered a NEW bond and cannot be re-written. Now maybe the judge was/is unaware of this, as they have much bigger things to deal with. We are governed by the Florida Dept. of Financial Services and our insurance companies. As Bondsmen, we to must follow the law. This makes a good bondsmen. Sorry for the fact that the State Attnys office changed your clients charges and bond, but as an Attorney (i am assuming) you should also know the rules and do's and dont's. one that should always be followed is get all your facts before accusing.
