I had a tire blow out on IH35 on Monday during rush hour, as if that were not enough excitement I was pleased to find out that I was an hour too late to get my Prius in anywhere that might have my unusual sized tires. Tuesday morning at 8a.m. I called all the usual tire places in San Marcos and surprisingly found that the dealership, San Marcos Toyota, had the best deal on tires, but would have to order them and they would not be in store ready to install till the following morning. Ok, fine!...When I arrived at the dealership on Wednesday morning prepared to sit at the dealership for the three hours they told me it would take to change the four tires I ordered, they informed me that they would have to go pick up some other tires from a dealership in New Braunfels (a store they dont normally do business with but they would for me, it would cost them a little extra but it is all they could do for me to get me to work at some point by the end of the day) So I sat stranded at the dealership for hours with no communication from the employees, they blew off all my concerns about a possible link between a recent recall in Tundra tire sensors and the incident I had where no tire senor indicator came on prior to flat. I felt very ignored and dismissed by the staff, those that had to time to speak didn't seem to know anything and would just refer me to one particular gentleman who did not have time to deal with me and was less than friendly. I would never recomend this dealership to anyone, if this is what service after the sale involves, I would be scared to hand them any money.
