I had my eye exam appointment on March 3,2011. The staff was very nice and the moral was exceptional. I picked out frames and the staff took time with me and didn't rush me by any means to make any decisions. It is now March 31, 2011 and still no glasses by NO fault of Value Optical. My insurance company has their own lab and have misplaced my first frame that was sent to them and stated when asked ""we never received your frames"", then 2 weeks later they received the frames the second time from Value Optical and scratched my lenses twice since then. Needless to say when I explained that I have a huge computerized adaptive test on April 13th 2011 the insurance company felt the need to counsel me verses giving me other options. I was frantic because I can't afford to take the chance taking a 6 hr exam on a computer without glasses. I called Value Optical and asked if my prescription could be bought over the counter at CVS or Walgreens etc... and they felt concerned enough to and cared about my situation enough that they are providing me with a pair of free glasses that I can keep to get me by. This is by far not Value Optical's responsibility to provide me with glasses free of charge for the terrible customer service that my insurance company has provided. The entire staff cares about their patient's and there is not enough thanks in the world to give to Value Optical. They have gone the extra mile to take care of me even though they didn't have to. Thanks Mike, Tabitha, Jessica, and my Dr. you guys are great and a life saver! Thank you sooooooo very much!!!!!! Very professional and I will recommend Value Optical Plant City location to everyone I come in contact with!
