The best night to go is Pint Night when the drinks are cheap and there is good, live music. It usually gets pretty crowded with locals and college students. A few times there, we ordered some appetizers, which were good. Must be 21 to get in with no cover charge. Its a great hangout and good location on Main St so you can bar hop to the other locals bars.
