I began seeing Dr. Farid at this office in December, 2010. I had 9 or 10 cavities that were filled between in Dec. 2010 and Jan. 2011. Within days and weeks, fillings began to fall out. Each time, I was forced to wait days, in substantial pain and unable to eat or drink anything that wasn't room temperature, as hot or cold caused shooting pain in the unfilled cavity, even breathing with my mouth open was agonizing, as the cold air hit my tooth. I had 3 fillings fall out before Jan. 11th, and was forced to make individual appointments and undergo additional injections and procedures to replace the fillings. Each time, I asked why the fillings were falling out, and no one would tell me. So, when my 4th filling fell out, on Saturday, February 26th, I was understandably upset, and once again, in pain. I contacted Gentle Dental on Monday, Feb. 28th to request an appointment, and left a voicemail. When no one returned my call, I called again on Tuesday and left a message. I was finally able to get an appointment with a different dentist, Dr. Kelleher, on Wed. March 2nd. Dr. Kelleher's assistant (Laura or Linda?) showed me into the room, I explained that my filling had fallen out and showed her the tooth, she put her hands in my mouth (without asking!) then sprayed cold air directly onto the site, I believe to shut me up, since I was asking so many questions about why the filling kept falling out. Immediately, tears came to my eyes, I said ""Ow, that hurts!"" and jerked my head away. Dr. Kelleher's assistant said, ""Sorry, I didn't mean to spray directly on it"" then FOLLOWED me with the instruments, and DID IT AGAIN. At this point I have tears streaming down my face, and I am angry and in a lot of pain (Which I stressed in my initial voice mails). She mumbles ""sorry"" again and flees! I wait, and compose myself, and finally the dentist, Dr. Kelleher, enters. He sits, and without introducing himself, says ""So I see you had a filling fall out"" and begins reclining the dental chair. I explain that it's the 4th filling I've lost and I ""can't seem to get anyone to tell me why it keeps happening."" He defensively said, ""Well I can't tell you anything, I haven't even looked in your mouth yet!"" Then he says, ""Let's do some Lidocaine so I can spray your teeth"". I said, ""I didn't think you needed lidocaine for that,"" while looking at the assistant. She crows, ""You don't need to be rude, I said I was sorry!"" Dr. Kelleher then said, ""If you're going to be nasty you can go get this done somewhere else,"" and put down his tools. I said, ""Fine, you're right"" requested my records at the front desk and left. After I drove my car out of the parking lot, I began to have trouble breathing, and was forced to pull over while I suffered from my first panic attack in almost a year. I was treated and touched by the dental assistant without my consent. When I indicated I was in pain and pulled away, she FOLLOWED ME and caused more pain. The dental practice sees no problem with this, despite the fact that this NEVER happened when I saw Dr. Farid and her assistant (even though they weren't filling my teeth properly). And in the many other appointments I had had at this office, EVERY TIME I said ""ow"" all work was stopped. This woman did not do that, and the dentist and his practice need to recognize that what she and they have done are wrong. Gentle Dental alleges that they specialize in people who are afraid of dentists - well I wasn't - until I went there.
