We first met chef/owner Scott, when he was sipping wine on the porch, shortly before opening. He talked about starting a restaurant offering good value to Amelia Island locals with unique menu items and down home favorites. Several years later, he is still delivering on those goals.
It is hard to pick a favorite from the menu, but his pork chop is probably the best pork I have eaten anywhere. Shrimp and grits are still a favorite, even though they are no longer ""man eating"" shrimp. There is always a great seafood special. The grilled romaine salad is truly unique. The whole appetizer list merits attention.
Then there is Scotty's version of bread pudding, a coffee and donuts combination that is as delicious as it is indulgent.
I've been meaning to write this review for a while. Now that it is written, I need to go see what's on this week's menu.
