I didn?t realize dishonest dentists existed until I decided to switch to Golden Canyon Dentistry. The reason I switched was because I had moved to Canyon Country and as a result my former dentist, whom I?ve gone to since I was 5, was farther away from my new home. Well to get straight to the point, my advise is to stay away from this dentistry! Although, the dentist and staff were very friendly it didn?t compensate for their dishonesty and greediness. In my opinion, I believe their goal is to take every last cent from patients.
First of all, on my first visit they informed me that according to my x-rays they found that I had 8 ?special? cavities. They explained that because my cavities were sooo ?special? that my dental insurance would not cover the costs of such a complex procedure. Oh...and by the way! They were going to charge me $800 for each cavity!!! You do the math...And of course they conveniently had a payment plan for me to review and sign up for.
I had my doubts so I decided to get a second opinion from my former dentist. My former dentist examined my x-rays and laughed asking, ?So how many cavities did this dentist say you had? Because you have none!?. I was so shocked and relieved! I guess I?m sticking to my former dentist although it is a longer drive, it?s a small price to pay considering that I will avoid crooks like this gold digging dentist (hence the name Golden Canyon Dentistry). So please take my advise and don?t make an appointment with this dentist if you value your time and money!
