I go to this salong fairly often and I can deal with the pushy service since I'm usually pretty happy with the mani/pedis I get there. But lately they've been pushing these new kind of manis that they claimed would last longer and not chip as much. I couldn't understand what the technician called it since her English was so poor, but it was something about these special polishes they used. After applying them they put your hand in this little light box to dry. They charged me $25 ($10 more than a regular mani) and claimed that it would last a full 2 weeks. So I gave it a try. However, 4 days later I peeled it all off. I say ""peeled"" because you can't remove that stuff with regular polish remover. But it had to come off because it was all chipping so bad I couldn't stand it any more. I am pretty annoyed by this gimmick and wish someone had told me the truth before I wasted the money on whatever that was!
