I was referred to the Shohet Ear Associates by my primary physician. When I made the reservation they asked me to fill out the patient forms, etc., which I did. While on their web site I sent an email (through their own internal web site) to ask if the took Blue Shield. They never responded to my email and when I showed up they told me that they are an ""out of network"" provider and are not on the Blue Shield plan. They wasted 109 days of my time and I now have to make another appointment with an ""in network"" provider. The receptionist told me that they tell patients when they make the appointment that they are an out of network provider. How would they know? I never told them I had Blue Shield. Seems like bate and switch.
