There are lots of pros;
1. Clean apartments with thick walls and floors. Very quiet.
2. Nice pool, volleyball, grill error.
3. Nice movie room noone ever uses.
4. If your poor and don't have internet you can use their office setup. (how are you affording the rent?)
5. Good access to the greenway.
There are also lost of cons;
1. My biggest pet peeve is the dog poop. The pet owners here disgust me. They don't take their pets to a dog walk area or the provided fenced in play area to poop. Every time I enter or leave the building, someone has their dog pooping right next to the sidewalk next to the entrance. Thats a lot of fun to watch! I guess they are too lazy to take it across the parking lot. They usually make a half-hearted attempt to pick it up (in case someone is watching) but don't EVER walk on ANY grass! The smell is horrible.
2. Residents dump their apartment trash in the hallway trash bins. Just too lazy to walk to the dumpster. It sucks walking out of the elevator and see the trash bin overflowing and household trash stacked next to it. The management has been unsuccessful for 3 months in stopping it.
3. The gym sucks! It is a disgusting germfest. The towels must be 10 years old though it does get laundered regularily. They have been out of the wipes to wipe down the equipment after use for about 9 weeks now. Germ wary residents use the last remaining hand soap dispenser and paper towels they are providing instead.
Many of the residents have ZERO gym ettiquete and don't use towels and do not put any of the equipment away. Residents with kids will bring their kids to run around and play while they work out which is very irritating.
They don't seem to be doing any preventive maintenance on any of the equipment. The 2 ellipticals are adjusted totally different so their work level numbers don't match. The 3 treadmills are the same way with the incline on one of them being broken for over a month. The treads on the treadmills are beginning to curl on the edges.
I suspect the owner is having cashflow problems because they certainly do not neglect the landscaping like they neglect the gym.
4. There are firedoors in the hallways of each building. In our building, they waited till January to disable the magnets so people would stop propping the doors and letting the freezing air into the halls. Its now in the 60s most days and they haven't re-enabled the magnets so the halls are getting stuffy with the doors closed. Residents are using rocks to prop open the doors to let the air flow.
5. The cardboard dumpster clearly says to break down all boxes. There is always a stack of boxes next to the dumpster that people didn't break down. Are the residents stupid? Why bother recycling the cardboard if your going to not break it down?
6. There seem to be a few residents that are groups of workers. Not trying to be racist but the management needs to screen the residents a little better when they have more than 2 adults.
In summary, this is a great place to live as long as you don't hang around. I try to come and go at odd times to avoid all the dog poopers.
