I went into this H&R Block with the understanding that they were going to do my taxes. They took all of our paper work and called me about a week later (which was how long they said) and told me we were going to owe a ton of money. i found this odd cause we made the same amount as the prior years AND sold and bought a home. i was so discuraged. i was refered to 2 other tax accountants (who are actully CPA's not just certified) they both came out with us recieving around what we normaly recieve, PLUS a little more due to paying taxes when buying our home. they were around $100 off from each other. H&R BLOCK IS HORRIBLE. maybe if you are single renting a home or living with someone they might be ok. but if i would not have gotten a 2nd and 3rd opinion we would have been SCREWED!
