I guess having to pay for Montague Street rents, an absentee owner, a studio manager and several front desk employees leaves little revenue to pay the actual yoga instructors.
As a result, many classes are taught by rather inexperienced teachers, similar to the ones typically found at fitness clubs.
Given the small studio space, the musty staircase one needs to climb to get there, and the less then welcoming staff, popping a yoga CD into your computer seems like the better (and way cheaper) option.
