Soeren, You forgot the details. ( National RV, 38 Class A Coach, probably a Cummins Diesel 250/350 HP ) According to our security system engine start was 7:19am. Our first phone call complaining about excessive noise was 7:23am, at which time I put on a shirt, pants, socks and shoes and headed for the door, only to be met by an irate gentleman who wanted to know what was going on with that id--t in Site 3. Replay shows engine start was a cold start at 1400/1700 RPM and held in a no load range of 1400/1600 RPM until I told you to shut it down. You backed off the throttle at 7:31am. You said you HAD to start the engine that way. Yes, I did reply that was B==L S==T. I suggest you review your Cummins Operating Manual and especially the Cummins bulletins regarding engine operation with Low Sulfur fuels. If you HAVE to start the engine at 1400/1700 RPM, you should visit your Cummins Diesel Engine specialist and find out why. Your engine will thank you and your neighbors will be most grateful. To start a cold engine at 1400/1700 RPM and hold a no load idle speed at 1400/1600 RPM is totally unacceptable, unnecessary and with total disregard for your engine and for those around you, regardless of the time of day. We have over 1200 coaches, 36ft. to 45ft. visit us every year and no one, repeat, no one, has ever abused an engine or rousted their neighbors as you did. Yes, you were told to shut it down. and leave. You were, however, the subject of conversation around the coffee pot for the rest of the morning. Oh!..and a nice touch of class, as you sounded your air horn when you left at 7:53am.
