I started going here in June 2011 because they ran a special on Living Social . I got a 1 hour massage for $30. My dad was dying of cancer at the time & I needed some cheap ""Me Time"". My back & upper body gets really knotted up from stress. They had me meet with the doctor who told me they can get massage therapy covered by my health insurance. I told him I had done physical therapy, and medications. All that seems to work is getting massages. So I got the referral from my regular doctor & got the paper work going so I could get weekly massages for my $35 co-pay. Once the insurance kicked in thing really changed. I had a hard time scheduling because I worked full time during the day, I was taking care of my dad who was sick w/ cancer & I also ran a part time pet sitting business. I'd leave message cancelling appointments on their voicemail. Then they'd call me & say I was late for appointments. Or I'd leave a message wanting to make an appointment & nobody would call me back. After my Dad passed I was able to go a bit more regularly. What got weird was I walked in the office & they are asking me ""Where is you pain? "" I didn't have any pain. I just wanted the knots out of my back & shoulders. They hooked me up to an electronic massager, then ultrasound, then only a half hour upper body massage, then they want me to get adjusted, then do physical therapy. After the 2nd time of going through an appointment like this - I was there for an hour & half & I had another appointment to go to. They got upset with me for having to leave. They never told me how long these appointment were going to take. This certainly wasn't the relaxing ""Me Time"" I had in mind when I signed up for this. They had me meet with the doctor & apparently they told him there was a scheduling conflict. He made it out that the scheduling was my fault! Because I wasn't able to stay for the 2+ hours on a Saturday or come in during the weekdays. After that I decided I wouldn't go back. I called a couple days later & left a voicemail cancelling my next scheduled appointment. They called me twice & left me messages to reschedule. The last one cracked me up "" We hope everything is okay & you haven't relapsed."" RELAPSED FROM WHAT?! I got really sick of the constant calls & finally had to put them on the call blocker on my phone - (it just hangs up on a phone # that's programmed). You think they'd get the hint right? THEY STARTED TEXT MESSAGING ME TO COME IN FOR AN APPOINTMENT!!!! That was all up to November 2011.They are STILL AT IT and wont leave me alone! I couldn't believe it when I found a letter in the mail from them yesterday!! It stated:
"" I have received your case records and it is obvious that you have discontinued your care program. Of course I hope that you are doing well and will not suffer setbacks. Through we did not have the time necessary to relieve you of your symptoms, I feel that your condition would respond favorably to chiropractic. A percentage of symptoms and problems recur when corrective treatment is lacking and many problems then become chronic or return in still another form. It is my sincere hope that you are satisfied with the treatment you have received at my office and that every member of my staff has extended the utmost in courtesy and attention to you and your needs. Please remember that my door is always open and if you need us in the future please feel free to call. Best personal regards Dr. Tariq Ahmed""
OMG REALLY!? GO AWAY & Quit bothering me! Calling & texting me weren't enough!? Now you have to send a letter too? This clinic is obvious desperate for business & are the reason Chiropractors get a bad reputation.
I have since been using a different Chiropractic clinic since November for ONLY Massages & they haven't pushed any thing else on me. I'm able to enjoy my ""ME TIME"".
Stay clear of Roselle Chiropractic! They are like a monkey you cant get off you back!
