I walked out of Molly's in tears! This was my second time there, and I found a dog that I would have LOVED to share my home with. The people I initially spoke with were so kind and helpful for me attempting to fill out this application.
Unfortunately, after I handed in the application, the woman in her high and mighty seat behind the counter (I wonder if she ever interacts the the animals herself, or even really cares about them), badgered me so harshly about my application, interrogating me like I had committed a crime. I got so frustrated that she wasn't even listening to my responses, that I had to leave before the tears started to run down my face... not only because I was angry, but also because I wouldn't be able to be taking the dog I had selected into my home to be my forever friend.
Since that experience, it doesn't surprise me that most of the dogs that were there when I went a month ago are still there. I also agree with the posts saying they were too expensive. I recently found a fully AKC registered boxer for a far less expensive price than the mixed breeds, that has also had all of the services that they say you're spending the big dollars on.
For the future, you should be less rude, and maybe re-evaluate your cost structure... I'd think you'd want to make sure that these animals are getting homes. I can understand being strict about who you let take pets, but the ""director"" takes it to a nasty extreme with her condescending tone and absolutely rude and inconsiderate words.
