I live in CT and I visit my grandma very frequently. When I come down here we sometimes get our nails done. I've been to this place twice. The first time I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and now today the second time WE WILL NEVER BE BACK! Both times I sat down a few minutes after my grandma because I was selecting my polish color and both times I finished before her. How that makes sense I have no idea. The first time we went the employees were to busy gossiping about their boss which was annoying because they weren't paying attention to what they were doing. The second time we went I told the ladies that were working on my feet, my grandma's, and my boyfriends that we would all like the reflexology. Well, I was to busy watching the time because I felt like they were going to make it shorter than the 15 min so I couldn't enjoy it. Furthermore, they spent more time massaging my legs rather than my feet. Then I noticed that my grandma and my boyfriend got oil and lotion, so I asked for the oil too. We'll apparently the woman doing my feet was annoyed by that because she gave me a dirty look and tried talking me out of it. Then after the massage was done they got the warm towels (which seemed to be dirty) and put them on our legs which were also burning hot. After everything was finished she asked for us to pay and assumed that my grandma would be paying the bill. I said that I was paying and she looked surprised, considering I'm 25 and look much younger she probably thought that I couldn't afford everything. Having realized I was paying she looked discussed knowing now she had screwed up. Giving everyone awful service (which is the norm here) and more so me in particular, she knew she was going to get a poor tip. I told my grandma that she will never be going back to this place again, but instead a more well deserving nail salon somewhere else. I highly recommend that NO ONE SHOULD GO TO THIS PLACE! They don't even have a place to dry your nails, we had to sit there in the pedicure chair waiting for our toes to dry. Then when I mentioned to my boyfriend who was sitting next to me that we will never be going back, a male employee was trying to ease drop on our conversation, then he tried being nonchalant like he was prying in. He then continued to make a fool of himself by leaning over to drink out of a cup that was empty when my boyfriend looked at him. Moreover, as we waited for our nails to dry we were very rudely encouraged to leave several times by multiple employees. This place is filled with employees that would rather gossip about each other and their customers, talk and text on their phones, and treat their customers with utter disrespect. If you want to get your nails done I suggest you take your money elsewhere. They don't deserve to have their name to be called New York Nails. You would get better service and quality in a New York alleyway from a hobo who has never done nails in their life. Save TIME, MONEY, AND FRUSTRATION by helping to shut down this monstrosity.
