DON'T GO HERE!!! IT TOOK ME SEVEN ATTEMPTS AND TWO MONTHS BEFORE I COULD PICK UP MY GARMENTS. THE TAILOR KEPT TELLING ME THE GARMENTS WERE NOT READY AND TO COME BACK AT A FUTURE DATE. WHEN RETURNING AFTER THE NEW PROJECTED DATE, GARMENTS WERE STILL NOT READY!!!! THEY WERE REALLY RUDE WHEN I FINALLY GOT TO PICK UP MY GARMENTS!!
I am really disappointed with this business. I have been a loyal customer for the past year. I have brought in at least fifteen garments for alteration (mostly pants I needed hemmed). The tailoring has always been satisfactory; it is certainly not outstanding or flawless by any means. Alterations are reasonably priced.
Although I have had pleasant experiences in the past, my most recent experience was horrible. I brought my garments in on October 14th. I returned to pick them up a few days after they told me that they would be ready; the garments were not ready. I went back again when they were supposed to be finished and they were closed during their normal business hours for ""personal reasons"" according to the note on the door. This was reasonable and I was not angry. However, after returning an additional four times to the shop and being told to come back because the garments were not ready, I was frustrated. It was such a waste of time to have to keep on returning and annoying that I had to wait so long for the alterations. In total I had to ATTEMPT TO PICK UP GARMENT SEVEN TIMES and WAITED TWO MONTHS before I could actually pick up my garments. I would feel okay about this if I were compensated by a significantly reduced bill or treated well when I picked up the garments. I waited for the tailor to apologize for taking so long and for my inconvenience of returning so many times. He DID NOT APOLOGIZE OR CARE ABOUT MY WASTED TIME. When I reminded the tailor that I had dropped off the garments in October and that I came back seven times to pick them up, he told me that I had only come back twice. This was really frustrating to be told that I was lying when I was being completely honest. He only took off 10% from the bill. I would have maybe felt okay about the reduced bill if he did not insist I was lying about how many times I attempted to pick up my garments. The experience was HORRIBLE AND I FEEL VERY MISTREATED AND DISRESPECTED. I hope that no one else has to have a similar issue with this tailoring shop. A really good fast, reasonably priced dry-cleaners/ tailor is the The Great American in El Cerrito Plaza. They do a really great job and finish as promised in three days.
