I made the basic mistake of not asking price first. The dental work they suggested to be done was not the $200 to $225 I expected. It was over $400.
Then there was the chip. I did ask and was told it was $45. And it was except for the $17 / year that was not mentioned. When I expressed my disappointment, I was told that was a charge of some other company, as if they were not responsible.
