Simply put, Texsun retail stores are ok, they have good products and knowledgeable salespeople, but avoid TEXSUN's service department at all costs!!!\r
\r
Recently I paid for the annual service package of DE Filter cleaning and Hayward Heater service. SCAM - RIPOFF / BS !!! \r
\r
The TEXSUN Service folks come to my house and service my Hayward filter (broke my filter fins in the process + $65 extra) and supposedly performed annual service on my Heater. While servicing my heater, Kyle the service tech @TEXSUN tells me my blower motor is bad, and I need a new one, and my repair estimate for this will be $ 500 extra. What?!? I told him to stop right there.\r
\r
Not believing Kyle at TEXSUN's BS, I go home and checkout my ""bad blower motor"" myself, and discover a large mud dobber nest as the source of my issue. So I removed the nest and no more problems! Right???? - Wrong!\r
\r
Thinking I need to bring this to the attention of TEXSUN's management, I speak to head of the service department. His name is Kevin Hooker (281-378-4562). Thinking I'm going to get things straightened out, so I speak to Kevin. When I inform him at best his guy is incompetent, at worst a crook, Kevin gets incredibly defensive and crappy with me. \r
\r
By the end of the conversation, he says he will refund my $80 bucks for the heater service, but refuses to refund me for the parts they broke and vehemently (read jackass) supports his service tech who tried to screw me over, and basically tells me tough s%$t!\r
\r
Just a warning here, but avoid Texsun service. It's really a shame, because their retail stores are darn good. They have just lost a loyal customer for life! (and one who will post social media commentary too)
