I have only one word to describe manager of this building- MORAN. I was 8 months pregnant and needed bigger place to live with coming baby. If I had more time and didnt feel miserable moving around I would ve kept looking for another apartment. The day I moved in my stuff I started noticing things that need to be fixed (dirty AC filters and one of them falls apart, leaky toilets, showers and faucet, exposed rusty screws, closets, loose door handles and towel holder which had to be fixed twice by his worker etc etc) I was very upset and told him that I wont pay rent until he fixes those things. He refused to give me the keys for the apartment even after we gave him deposit in the amount of $1600. I asked him to sign the paper listing the things that has to be fixed in a timely manner. He didnt, instead I had to listen to his bull s"""""" about me not trusting him. How he cares and does his best for everyone etc etc. Stupid me for giving up.
It took him and his crew 6 weeks to have some things done. Every time they would come they had some missing parts and they had to come back again and mess my carpet with their dirty shoes. Finally when they aligned shower door I noticed mildew and mold around it...which I didnt notice until after I had my child. Since I had complicated pregnancy I avoided getting into that bath tub to prevent any falls. So I used shower in another room. When I told him about mildew and mold he told me that it wasnt there before and I have to turn on fan when I shower so mold wont grow. Seriously?! What am I a child to tell me how to use shower? And how the heck it would grow if I didnt even use that shower?
For everything that is not working he has an excuse. And he tells how to use things. I never so much issues in all places I ever lived
For example: I had AT&T come over to connect an internet and there was no working phone jack. I called manager to ask if that is something that he has to fix since by law there should be at least one working phone jack in the apartment. He told me that is not aware of it and they dont fix it. Probably previous tenant cut wires... some people don't want land line and they cut wires. Wow that was the first bull s"""""" I heard from him.
Couldnt use dishwasher since the door was loose. He told me that I have to shut it and turn the handle lol like I dont know how to use it! When he finally came in 6 weeks to fix it he explained why it wasnt aligned by his worker.
Windows make noise everytime I open or close the door and its annoying especially at night or when my baby wakes up from the noise. His explanation-there should be space between windows in case of earthquake so they wont break. So whats now? I have to just deal with it?
Washers downstairs can be used only 2 out of 3 at a time otherwise there will be pond in a laundry room. Seriously?! How about changing your plumbing!
Someones car parked behind my car and I couldnt go to my doctors appointment. I contacted him , he wasnt home. I asked him for towing company number since there is sign in a parking... He advising me to wait. Isnt he smart?
It was annoying and I tried to ignore it until I had enough of that crap. After thanksgiving dinner I was doing dishes. Around 11pm that man calls me and tells me that people downstairs have water all over the kitchen and carpet making it sound like it was my fault. He sure ruined my evening. In the morning he gave lecture to my husband how to use garbage disposal and faucet. I never put any food in a disposal! I asked him to give me his managers number and he refused. He told me if i have any issue or complain I have to tell him and that his manager doesnt want to be bothered. I have the right by law to know that!
There is peeling paint around window, discolored ceiling in babys room and I am afraid and concerned about my babys health
Going to report him to health department maybe then I ll be able to reach his management and have things done once and for all
