Do not purchase a car from this dealership. I purchased a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited on 10/31/11. While test driving I heard a knocking coming from around the rear of the engine. The salesman informed me that this was the way older jeeps sounded and that nothing would be wrong as they inspected ""every part"" of their vehicles, and were even upside down on this Jeep. While driving from the dealership the check engine light came on. The dealer lead me to a mechanic in town who told me that ""Sometimes, in Jeeps, sensors in the engine needed to warm up and that the check engine light will come on periodically while they warmed up."" Upon getting the Jeep home I had a mechanic in my town check up on it and was told that the error code read ""Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold"". I was told that this could be either a bad oxygen sensor or a bad catalytic converter. Well, the catalytic converter was out, and the repair would run $700. I found the part for $473.99 and decided to install it myself. I informed Lipscomb Auto Group of the cost of the part and was told by the salesman ""Yeah, he (his manager, Mr Lipscomb I presume) is going to back out on that one.""
