We went on a Saturday night with a group of friends after a Broadway show. We were excited about the location being walking distance from the show and were looking forward to going after reading all the positive reviews.
Unfortunately we were disappointed. The place smelled like an aquarium. We ordered 2 types of salads to share. The seaweed salad smelled like fish and not fresh. The lobster salad looked runny, not very appetizing. Our sushi arrived and we were still not offered any individual plates. We shared the salads over our napkins. We figured plates would be provided once the sushi came, but we ended up asking for them, since we still weren't given any.
We were also looking forward to the live DJ but were disappointed again. The DJ was there but she seemed uninterested in being there or livening up the place. Rather she was texting between songs.
The sushi overall was just ok. We were turned off by all of the rest.
The prices were very reasonable, but given all of the above I won't be going back. Sushi Samba/Park is our favorite. I'd rather pay a little more and enjoy myself.
