A bright star among New York City museums, the Museum of the Moving Image is Queens' very own rising starlet. In addition to boasting a phenomenal name, the Museum has a rare and unique mass appeal. Two highlights that are not to miss: (1) Watch clips from ""Nanook of the North"" - the 1922 silent film depicting the customs and lifestyle of an indigenous tribe in the Canadian arctic. It's considered the world's first documentary. (2) Take the time to watch ""The Great Train Robbery"" in its entirety and imagine what it was like for an audience to watch in 1903. Despite being just eleven minutes long, the film is still somehow epic.
